Here at the Kanata Chess Club we try to help people from all ages improve their chess. Anyone from beginner to Grand Master is welcome to come play. On this page we have a couple of puzzles and a game you can look it if you're interested!
Another way to learn chess techniques is to watch someone else use them properly. Here is a casual game played in our club in which black wins by utilizing a pin after opening with the accelerated Sicilian:

The first puzzle is attributed to Paul Morphy. The solution is 1.Rh6! with two possible continuations: 1...B any 2.Rxh7
mate; or 1... gxh6 2.g7#.
To solve the second puzzle the first move is 1.R anywhere! Just don't move the King! Here's the idea behind the assertion: 1.Re1 with two possible
lines: 1...Kd8 2.Rc1! Ke8 3.Rc8 mate; or 1...Kf8 2.Rg1! Ke8 3.Rg8#.
